FAQ about our wedding photography services
What areas do you cover?
We’re based in Colchester but happily travel throughout the UK and overseas to photograph weddings. Modest travel expenses are charged for distances beyond a 50 mile radius of Colchester.
What is your style of wedding photography?
Our style is friendly and relaxed and take particular delight in documenting your day naturally and discreetly. We do however recommend that you have a handful of classic group poses which will be planned before your day. Group shots are like vegetables, no one really wants them but you have to have them!
How many images will we receive on our disk?
We aim to give you quality rather than quantity and it does, of course, depend on how long we are with you on the day and the photo opportunities available, however as a rough guide, if both photographers are present, a half day wedding (4 hours) usually produces a minimum of 150 images and a full day wedding (8 hours) usually produces in excess of 300 images.
Do you require food or accommodation?
We don’t ask for anything specific from you and certainly don’t expect you to provide us with an expensive guest meal. We are self sufficient and will bring our own food, but a nice cup of tea is always appreciated!
Are the photographs on your website taken at real weddings?
Yes, they’re images taken by both of us together or when we’ve attended individually. Some photographers stage weddings with models for use on their website, we believe that you should see the real thing.
What about my crow’s feet?!
We like to think of them as laughter lines but find that many of our brides appreciate a little bit of our Photoshop magic for their special portraits.
I’m interested in finding out more, what’s the next step?
Fran & Sally will either meet with you or have a chat over the telephone about your day and how we can help you. Sample albums are also available for you to view. Once you’ve decided that you’d like to proceed, we’ll just need a completed booking form from you together with a non refundable £250 deposit.
When is the final balance due?
The remaining balance is due 6 weeks before your day. You may make payment by cheque or bank transfer, details of which will be on your invoice.
